17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears..

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we highlighted some of the reasons why people get into financial bondage and described how unpleasant the experience is. Today, we shall look at more of those reasons.
The fifth reason people suffer from financial bondage is lack of financial literacy and discipline. Ignorance kills. This is why many people live beyond their means. They do not cut their coats according to their clothes and do not spend wisely. It is also the reason many do not save but eat even their seeds. It is the reason that the expenditure of many is often more than their income. Lack of proper financial planning will always lead to problems.
The sixth reason people find themselves in financial bondage is stealing from God by not paying their tithes and giving their firsfruits and offerings. Such people are also victims of the devourer. The seventh reason is failure to honour pledges. The Bible says that it is better to not make a vow at all than to make one and fail to fulfil it (Ecclesiastes 5:5). The consequence is financial bondage.
Beloved, other causes of financial bondage you need to know and avoid are as follows:
(8) Disobedience to God’s leading (9) Living in debt – The debtor is always a slave. (10) Negative confessions – Always be mindful of what you say. Negative confessions often attract grave consequences. (11) Involvement in demonic activities – This will give the enemy a leeway to harass you and cage you financially. (12) Laziness or slothfulness – God so abhorred laziness that, in Proverbs 6:6-11, He directed man to learn from the hardworking ants. (13) Satanic covenant to be poor physically but rich spiritually – Anyone who has formed this kind of covenant must go for deliverance urgently. (14) Inherited poverty – In this case, in the person’s family, everybody is poor and that poverty is traceable to the great grandparents. Acidic prayers and deliverance will bail the person out. (15) Unprofitable assistance – If you are assisting the enemy of God, you will be rendered poor. You should pray very well before you give your money to some people. Helping an enemy of God may result in financial trouble for you. Beware!

- Father, teach me how to get and manage wealth, in the Name of Jesus.
- I will not eat all my seeds nor live in penury, in the Name of Jesus.
- Any power sitting on my wealth and breakthroughs, die by fire, in the Name of Jesus,
EVENING
- Anointing for sacrificial giving, fall upon me, in the Name of Jesus.
- Father, forgive me for any vow or pledge that I have failed to fulfil and deliver me from the consequences, in the Name of Jesus.
- With the blood of Jesus, I cancel and nullify any negative confession that I made and that is working against my finances, in the Name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, deliver me from inherited poverty, in the Name of Jesus.
